President of the Mathematics Society of Ghana and Founder of Meagasa Mathematics Academy, Professor Sitsofe Anku has urged players in the education sector to come up with an efficient road map to check abuse of mobile phones in schools.
This follows calls to allow its usage by students.
He said although technology in recent times has enormous positive effects in the education process, the usage of mobile phones by students will have dire consequence on teaching and learning if it is not efficiently monitored and controlled.
Professor Anku made this call during the closing ceremony of a three week Mathematics camp in Accra organised by the Mathematics Society of Ghana in collaboration with Meagasa Mathematics Academy.
