President Trump To visit Texas On Tuesday To Survey Hurricane Harvey Damage

President Donald Trump will visit Texas on Tuesday to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey, which has brought historic rainfall to parts of Texas causing flooding and several reported deaths.

In a statement on Sunday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the president's trip to Texas later this week, though she emphasized that the details would be announced later.

Earlier on Sunday, Donald Trump tweeted: “I will be going to Texas as soon as that trip can be made without causing disruption. The focus must be life and safety.

“Historic rainfall in Houston, and all over Texas. Floods are unprecedented, and more rain coming. Spirit of the people is incredible.Thanks!” Donald Trump

“Many people are now saying that this is the worst storm/hurricane they have ever seen. Good news is that we have great talent on the ground.” He tweeted.
