Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention exercise takes off in Upper East & West Region

The Ghana Health Service has targeted about two hundred and sixteen thousand children for Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention exercise which starts today August 21 to Friday 26th.

The Service chose the Upper East and West Regions due to the prevalence rate of malaria in those two regions.

The programme is focusing on children from three months to five years.

The Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention exercise is to ensure adequate immunity for children during the rainy season.

Abilba Sydney Agoyomah is the Regional Malaria Focal Person.

He explains the essence of the Program to Theresa Owusu Arko.
