Management of the National Service Scheme says it has come to its notice that certain individuals have resorted to luring prospective national service personnel into paying specified amounts of money with promises of getting them posted to their preferred companies and institutions.
A statement from the scheme says management takes a serious view of these developments adding that posting of national service personnel does not attract any fee.
While cautioning those involved in these unscrupulous acts to stop the deceit and extortions, Management of the NSS advised prospective national service personnel and the public to be wary of such activities.
The statement said the security agencies have been alerted and that anyone caught in this illegality would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
The statement added that the NSS does not engage the services of agents for postings and would not be responsible for any acts of fraud.
