An 18 year old first-year Chemical Engineering student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Adwoa Agyarko Anyimadu-Antwi has committed suicide. Miss Adwoa Agyarko Anyimadu-Antwi took her life early yesterday in her hostel room with a rope. She is reported to be the daughter of Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem Central constituency, Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi. Although it is unclear what drove her to take her life, it is speculated that Adwoa failed some of her course papers and has since not been able to cope with the situation which she saw as a disgrace to herself and the parents. She left a note behind for her parents which read" sorry mummy and daddy for not being the girl you want me to be". The Management of the University has informed the parents about the incident which has left many of her colleagues shaken. Her body has been deposited at the University hospital morgue. GBC
