Parliament approves new regulation to enhance Police Service
The Ghana Police Service (GPS) is to decentralise through a new Constitutional Instrument, CI 76.

The Instrument, Police Service Regulations is to replace two existing Police Service Regulations, LI 880 and LI 993.

Parliament at its siting today approved the regulation which provides for changes in the structure and administration of the service.

CI 76 also covers areas such as recruitment, conditions of service, and disciplinary offences.

The House in its business statement for this week decided to sit on Saturday to make up for the work which would have been done on Friday the 21st of this month which was Founder's Day.
