Government has set up a team to coordinate the location and retrieval of state assets including landed properties and vehicles from members of the previous administration.
This comes after reports that some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters seized some property belonging to some members of the erstwhile Mahama government.
A statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, said it is unlawful for some individuals to possess state properties.
The statement therefore asks such individuals to surrender the properties to the Taskforce with immediate effect.
It urges the public to provide information on any properties believed to be owned by the state to the Taskforce on Retrieval of State Asset, CID Headquaters, Accra and contact them on 0299012238.
Members of the Taskforce include, the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Revenue Authority (Customs Division), Bureau of National Investigation, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority and Office of the President.
