Ghana has had a checked political history with about six coup d’états. However, the country has made some significant gains after the last coup in 1981.The ushering in of the new Constitution that heralded the fourth Republic brought some sanity and fairness in the country’s elections. Since then, a number of media outlets both print and electronic have flourished. The media is vocal and exposes the rot in society.
