President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to present a list of ministerial nominations to parliament this week.
The House will resume sitting today and will consider the composition of various committees apart from the ministerial nominations.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Public Affairs in Parliament, Kate Addo.
The resumption of parliament will be the first meeting of the house after it was inaugurated last Saturday following the dissolution of the sixth parliament.
It is the first session of the 7th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
The House has new entrants including the daughter of former President Rawlings, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, Sam Nartey George, Broadcaster Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Marketing Consultant George Andah, who are expected to make major inputs into parliamentary business.
The Committee of Selection will be the first to be constituted and adopted to pave way for the Business and Appointments Committee which will facilitate the fashioning out of the agenda for the House as well as to vet the government’s nominations for ministerial appointments.
