The Dormaaman Education Endowment Fund has spent more than GHȼ500,000.00 in support of brilliant but needy students in the Dormaa Traditional Area.

The fund was established by the Dormaa Traditional Council some 16 years ago. 1,609 students have so far benefited from the scholarship packages.

The Paramount Chief of Dormaa, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang-Badu, disclosed this at an end of year party of the Traditional Council at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

Oseadeeyo Agyemang-Badu said the beneficiaries are currently at various levels of education in Senior High and tertiary institutions.

He said in addition, the Fund has also awarded scholarships of GHȼ50,000.00 to another 100 students in Senior High/Technical and Vocational schools for the 2016/2017 academic calendar.

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang-Badu commended managers of the fund and also advised beneficiaries to learn hard to justify the support.
